Dear Pottery
friends,
Summer planning is fun to do during these chilly winter months (they finally are
snowy & chilly!), so I'm thinking of some inspiring activities for this
summer. Having the camp in the morning or afternoon this year still leaves
lots of time for enjoying lazy mornings or afternoons by the pool, reading, or
relaxing with family and friends. We hope you will join one or more of our fun
pottery camps.
As usual at The Good Earth, the emphasis will be on making it possible for the children to relax from the daily demands of the school year and to grow artistically and personally. Summer camp times allow for more involved projects and a greater continuity of community for everyone. At Good Earth Pottery & Garden we have eight wheels, three work tables, as well as an easy access slab roller for boxes, dishes, animal habitats, and other types of handbuilding and sculpture. We offer six different clays to work with, fifteen beautiful glaze colors, and high-fire as well as low-fire options. It is always amazing to see what the children can bring to life from their own piece of clay.
All our classes are founded on personal initiative and
imagination.
We offer your child the chance to develop the human
capacity to imagine, work hard, and create cultural artifacts just like the
Ancients did. Your child will gain confidence while strengthening
dexterity skills by spinning on the wheel, altering, turning out pieces on the
slab roller, pinching and/or coiling flights of fancy, hand-sculpting, or all of the
above.
Whether they keep their creations, sell them at a house party, or give
them as gifts,
(birthdays, graduations, weddings, you are special,
charity fund-raising, Valentine's Day, etc.),
they are
sure to bring wonder, thoughtfulness and beauty into the world for many, many
years to come.

Bring a friend! Enroll today!
Usually 5-10 campers will be attending. Special allowance may be made for advanced continuing students. Enroll now to guarantee your child a fun time during the long summer days. I try to be thoroughly kind and supportive to each individual in the studio, and expect the same from all the students. We at Good Earth have created a supportive environment in this country setting where students can let their burdens down, relax, and grow in creating beauty and friendships.
Registration and Deposit
Registration and deposit are required for all camps. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to returning students. After that we fill from the waiting list. At least ½ the camp fee(s) must be received at the time of registration before April 4th. The balance is due before May 4th. Smaller monthly payments are also an option due to the current state of the economy. Some refund one week prior to the first class may be possible in cases of severe illness or family emergency and must be agreed upon in writing. We try to do our best as a family business to serve you and your child and in return we appreciate your goodwill, thoughtfulness, and support!
Registration is only through David or Suzanne Gould. Registration is assured only when the accompanying Registration Form, Liability Waiver, Honor Statement, and deposit are received. If your child is returning, we kindly ask you to fill the forms out again since some details may have changed.
While we take every precaution for the safety of each camper, we do require all campers to sign an honor statement and all parents to sign a liability waiver as a condition of registration. We also reserve the right to return the camper to you if he/she is unable/unwilling to behave in a kind, safe, and reasonable manner. This is done to promote safety and fun for all campers!

Liability Waiver
While every effort will be made to protect your child as
carefully as we protect our own, occasionally accidents beyond our control can
happen. While we all think that they can never happen, we must be prepared
for an accident. Because of the rising cost of insurance, it is necessary
to require a waiver of financial and legal responsibility as part of the
registration form. Please fill in the correct information, sign this
form, and return it with the registration form and deposit. Especially
please note any medications taken, allergies, or asthma
conditions.______________________________________________________
